Patriots vs. Raiders score: Live updates, game stats, highlights, TV channel, streaming info for AFC matchup

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The New England Patriots are trying to hand the Las Vegas Raiders their first loss of 2020 as these two squads are in the midst of a Week 3 head-to-head battle at Gillette Stadium. With the first half in the books, it’s been a sluggish start for both clubs as each has turned the ball over at least once through the first two quarters. While they volleyed field goals for the bulk of the first half, the scoring picked up in the final minute of play.

Cam Newton completed the first touchdown of the day to Rex Burkhead with just over 30 seconds to play in the half, which wound up being enough time for Derek Carr and the Raiders offense to march down the field and quickly respond with a touchdown of their own. That kept the Patriots lead at just a field goal as they departed to the locker room.

Sony Michel has another chunk play to his name — rushes for 48 yards to put New England in the red zone. He’s now over 100 yards rushing for the day, which is something he was not able to do at all in 2019.

Isaiah Wynn is back at left tackle for New England.

Rex Burkhead is having himself a game and really showing his physically in the red zone. Newton clearly likes to go to him often here. Second touchdown of the game for him and first on the ground.

Justin Herron is at left tackle for the Patriots. Isaiah Wynn — who was questionable leading up to this game due to a calf injury — is on the sideline to open up the second half.

Sony Michel just ripped off a 38-yard rush. Think he’s feeling the heat with Taylor and Burkhead succeeding? Playing for his job right now.

While he may be banged up, the Patriots are doing a great job at negating Raiders star tight end Darren Waller. Has no receptions through the first half and clearly has been a point of emphasis by Bill Belichick and company to make Las Vegas beat them another way.

Really bad end to the first half here by the Patriots. Las Vegas was getting the ball with less than 30 seconds to play before halftime and that Gilmore penalty almost completely flips the field in the Raiders favor. That allows Dereck Carr to find Hunter Renfrow for a deep pass to put the Raiders at the 1-yard line and sets up the goal line reception for Foster Moreau. For a moment, it looked like New England would have a double-digit lead. Now, it’s 13-10 heading into the locker room.

Brutal PI on Stephon Gilmore. That’s his third of the season after having just five for the entirety of 2019.

What a cut by Rex Burkhead! He left a Raider in the dust and leaped to the end zone. Newton has noticeably been trying to get Burkhead involved and now they connect on the game’s first touchdown. Patriots lead, 13-3.
